The birth of Herbtail GlucoMetabol
The creation of Herbtail GlucoMetabol traces back to its founder, Chairman Chang-Hung Chen, whose passion for medicinal herbs began in childhood. As a young boy, he immersed himself in classics like the Compendium of Materia Medica and collected health-related news clippings. During college, he studied animal husbandry at Pingtung Agricultural College and pharmaceutical technology at Taipei Medical University, gaining both veterinary clinical experience and a strong foundation in herbal pharmacology.
After graduation, he devoted himself to promoting Chinese medicinal herbs, founding the Hualien Medicinal Plants Association, organizing production groups, developing organic farms, hosting lectures and herb-collecting activities, and teaching community courses on herbal wellness. These efforts built his practical expertise and professional network.
Seeking to integrate modern science, he pursued advanced studies at Asia University’s Graduate Institute of Food Nutrition and Health Biotechnology, focusing on biotechnology and nutritional science to ensure product quality. This allowed him to blend Eastern holistic perspectives with modern biotech methods, carving a unique path in health innovation.
In 2010, he moved to Nantou with his family, and in 2011 co-founded Yi Mu Tian Health Biotech with partners, establishing the Landmacy brand under the vision: “In one acre of land, discover the healing power of the earth.” Their work focused on purely plant-based health supplements.
By 2015, he dedicated himself fully to developing Herbtail GlucoMetabol. Recognizing that Western medicine could only control but not cure metabolic syndrome and the three highs (high blood sugar, blood pressure, and lipids), he turned to Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and nutritional science. From the principle of “balance,” he designed a comprehensive formula based on the Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi (sovereign, minister, assistant, and courier) principle and food energetics, avoiding the limitations of single chemical ingredients while ensuring holistic, safe, and effective support.
